506 days. That's how long we have been waiting. Waiting for the sex scene in Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part I. I guarantee furniture sales and Google searches for canopy beds will sky rocket after the world (yes the entire world) watches the highly anticipated and fantasized movie.
Before I became a member of the cult (Team Edward let me make clear) I had heard about this notorious love scene. "They break the bed." Why would these four words even entice to me to read four books in a 2 week span? Maybe I was confused by what that statement meant or that I had finally found an acceptable reason to do a way with my Twi-bashing attitude. Which ever the case, I was hooked and could not wait for the infamous pillow shredding event. Much to my disappointment "the chapter" was less risque than any normal night on Gossip Girl. I hope to have my expectations met this weekend. Even though the movie is rated PG-13 I know they can push the envelope since Twilight rules the world.
Those of you going to see Twilight at at the break of dawn (get it?) don't spoil the scene for all of us creeps out here!

The Daily Pippitt Returns
Go ahead, catch your breath, you're seeing correctly. The Daily Pippitt has a new post, in fact it's about to have a whole new life. You're about to have a whole new life. The Daily Pippitt is going to be going through some changes over the next few weeks. I encourage you to check back daily and get a taste of what you've been longing for. So lick your lips, your addiction is about to be satisfied.
Rehashing the Pippitt

I joined the Twitter world before most people and definitely way before it was cool. I was ahead of the curve and working for a social media company, but I found myself defending the platform and explaining "well it's kinda like facebook, but just your status, and you can follow people and get info and @ people". I don't know why people didn't catch on faster with that standard description.
My first tweets were stupid, random and definitely not funny, but I was tweeting and therefore cool. So it was quite the shocking surprise to me when I didn't know what hashtag meant. When did the Pound/Number sign feel that it was appropriate to rename its self and not tell anyone?
After I realized that # was no longer the way to restart the phone prompt, I was seeing and hearing it EVERYWHERE. All of the sudden # was the way to add the extra commentary already going on in your head. It was on the TV for people give their original thoughts and have topics trend. It was even making its way into dinner conversation. I had dinner with a friend and immediately following her statement she held her hands up letting her fingers lay over each other to create the ultimate human #. I paused for a minute and digested what went down.
How did I go from being in the know and socially advanced to not understanding the fictional word of hashtag. Even my Mac doesn't recognize it as a word. Is # going to fade out from the world outside Twitter? Will my text messages return to normalcy?- probably not- but not thanks to the #. I understand that # is maybe the new "Your Face" joke but can we just nix the hashtag name?

Apple to Unveil iPhone 4.0

Not a joke. The iPad came out less than two days ago and Apple is already gearing up for the next release of their latest iPhone. The iPhone OS 4 is supposed to be bigger, better and faster. Thursday at 10am Apple will be hosting a conference to release details about this highly rumored addition to the Apple family. I'm really hoping for the video-chatting rumor to be true!

ETA: 3 Days

Cult members of Apple will traveling to the Mecca of electronics this weekend to see the latest breakthrough that is completely necessary to add to our already digitized lives. The iPad, informally known as a Giant iTouch, hits stores this Saturday. Pre-sale orders will be filled, however the 3G model is not being released until next month. I'm anxious to see how then iPad will do. If you aren't getting an iPad or rather just can't afford it (ding ding ding-me) you can hold off until this summer when new iPhones are released. Most of the information out there on the infamous 4G iPhone are pure rumors, there have been leaks of features like video chatting, 5.2 mega pixel camera, ability for multi-tasking and made of titanium. Hope the rumors are true so I can blog and video chat with you guys simultaneously.

North Shore 5K

Deadline is another word for motivation. Whether it scares you that you will come in dead last or that you will completely fail altogether, deadlines are hard to ignore. I signed up for a 5K that takes place on June 13th. Since a 5K is really only 3.1miles I'm not too worried about being able to complete it. I've started "training" (if you even want to call it that) and have 13 weeks to get my speed up to a respectable time. Now only if the weather would stay warm I could enjoy the process even more.
Cancelled?!
ABC has been attempting resurrect ratings as Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and that other doctor show are experiencing a continual downward spiral to extinction. Their solution? Introducing The Deep End, a sexually charged showcase of first year lawyers in L.A. Since when is everyone painfully good looking in the work force? Anyway, being a Thursday night TV junkie (NBC, I'm still loyal), I enjoyed watching The Deep End. It was funny, kinda, but had something to it! After a couple of weeks of The Deep End not being on I went to the Internet to see what was up. Apparently, ABC wasn't satisfied with it's ratings and replaced the show with two equally bad creations, The Past Life and Flash Forward. My only relief to this news is the shortening of my Thursday lineup. I guess I'll have to resort to getting my 'good looks' fix with The Office, whether that's Jim or Dwight you'll never know.

Best App to Download Now

My brother told me to quickly download Apple's coolest app, Knocking Live Video. We both have iPhone 3G's and therefore do not have video capabilities. With Knocking Live we can share live video feeds from our phones! How it works? It's like having a webcam on your phone and uses the camera already on your phone. The quality is surprisingly great. However, no sound transfers. Steve Jobs even personally recommended and raved over this app. Move over picture messaging, leaving "knocks" as they call it is creating major waves in the app world. The best part is that it's free! For now! Hurry download and share live video feed with your friends and family!
Here's Some Encouragement

If anyone is trying to get back into running or wants to start here is a blog devoted specially to running in Chicago. Articles are helpful and encouraging with tips on how to train and stay motivated. The hardest part is getting started! So true!
Glimmer of Spring
During those dream like days I made a decision to get back into running. It's been harder to stay true to my self promises as the sky spits cold droplets on my face, only reminding me that I don't have a Spring Break to look forward to. As a defense, I pulled out my old SCOUTS ear warmer that I used back in my cheerleading days. Take that Mother Nature! Go Scouts!

This just really sucks...

It's been splattered all over the media that Sandra Bullock's douchebag husband has allegedly cheated on her with a tattooed creature. I hate reading about this kind of crap especially since it's been Sandra's "year". I hope the rumors aren't true!!

Get Uncommon or Just Weird

There is an awesome website that designs custom iPhone cases (Blackberry and iPad coming soon). Uncommon has created a technology that actually "tattoos" the ink or picture into the iPhone case, rather than using a sticker or paint that is likely to rub off. Uncommon also allows you to upload your own photo or artwork and resize/rotate it. I've seen people put pictures of their family on their cases or you could do you and your significant other. The possibilities are endless. They also have a whole library of custom artwork that you can chose from. The case itself is hard and doesn't make your iPhone any more bulky or heavy. If you are looking to spice up your iPhone or just looking to get weird looks from people visit Uncommon and start designing!
The Infatuation with "Free"

I read on Twitter this morning that Chipotle is giving away a FREE side of guacamole with your burrito if you are wearing green for St. Patrick's Day. Before even checking with Mothership Google for legitimacy, I went ahead a re-tweeted this unbelievable news. After telling the rest of the office and blasting the news through my gchat I thought about why people were getting so worked up over a free 2 oz cup of guac. It's not like Chipotle was giving away free Priuses- though I think Toyota is...check with Google first. But seriously, where does our obsession with "free" come from? I've always believed that there is no such thing as a "free lunch". There are always strings attached. Like sure you may be indulging in a free cup of delicious guac, but your body (most likely your hips) is going to pay for it later on.
I think what draws us in to this concept of "Free" is that we are getting a prize or being rewarded. Getting anything free is great; free shipping, free sample size with full purchase, free McMuffin when the Blackhawks score, free tacos, free free free. We like having little surprises and pleasant speed-bumps within our normally predictable day. It's that "oh, it's free?!" feeling when you start to pull out your money. For someone who gets excited over the little things, I'm definitely going to go the Chipotle and get my free 2 oz cup of guac, even if my intolerant stomach will retaliate later! It's FREE!

Way to Ruin Another Game Tebow
Why was Tebow and his MOM given ad space during the SuperBowl...? WHYYY. And my even bigger concern is why it was rated 4 stars on YouTube! Incase anyone forgot, Auburn is the only team in the SEC to declare victory over a Tebow carried Florida.
